Corsa D
Opel Agila AI

The presentation of the IV generation of the small Opel took place in 2006, in London. After the premiere, it became clear that the new Corsa is no longer so tiny, and the 5-door version is easily suitable for a little family. Interestingly, this model has a length of 3,999 mm, so it lacks only one millimeter to be eligible for the segment C.

Opel Corsa D appearance is different from its predecessors. The dynamic silhouette and the "self-confident" look catches rubbernecks' eyes. With the high front bumper and the enormous lampshades of lights, the car has a sports design, which is especially visible in the 3-door version.

The interior of the new Corsa is kept at a high level as well. And as often happens to all Opel cars, it is designed in accordance with the idea of being "modest but functional". The arrangement of the dashboard, the displays, the radio controls and the air-conditioning is quite clear and no one should get lost in it. The seats are comfortable and provide a lot of space. Only the tall passengers sitting at the back may have a problem.

As for a small car, Corsa D has got a decent-sized trunk. With the rear couch unfolded it is 285 liters, and after folding it we get 690 liters. Great advantage is absolutely sumptuous equipment - like heated seats - but for most improvements we have to pay extra.

At the beginning, the most powerful engine in this model was the 1.4 l one with power of 90 KM. Although Corsa is not a heavy car it does not allow us to go sports driving. In later period, the assortment was boosted with a much more powerful 1.6 Turbo Ecotec one.

The car keeps turns and we can drive it securely. The brakes are quite good and the steering apparatus too.

To sum up, Opel Corsa D is a very good car in its class. But unfortunately expensive as well. However, if someone decides on it, he/she should be satisfied.
